(SB Sun) A man perched near the top of the 11-story courthouse building under
construction in San Bernardino was safely talked down by police on
Sunday evening, Jan. 6. The man climbed onto the building in the
350 block of N. Arrowhead Avenue sometime after 12:30 p.m. and spent
almost six hours atop it while onlookers gathered below. The man, who
was in his late 20s, was talked down to safety by officers about 6 p.m.,
San Bernardino police Sgt. Frank MacOmber said by phone. The man’s name and city of residence were not released. He was not arrested, MacOmber said. The man was not injured. It was not immediately known why he climbed up the building, MacOmber said.
