Redlands Firefighters rescued a pair of kittens from a burning garage Saturday morning.
At 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, Redlands Firefighters responded to a structure fire involving a detached garage in the 900 block of Sixth Street. It took 16 firefighters 15 minutes to control the fire.
Firefighters rescued two kittens from the burning building. The kittens were turned over to Redlands Animal Control to be cared for until they can be adopted. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $25,000 for the structure and $10,000 to the contents of the garage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
