On August 17, 2013, a hunters campfire escaped in the Stanislaus National Forest and started what would be the states third largest fire, the Rim Fire. Containment would not come until October 24th, 2013. The fire burned a total of 257, 314 acres (402 square miles). I spent two days photographing the fire. More photos can be seen here in the gallery section of www.FireWXPhoto.com.
