Compton Fire - 4 Alarm Auto Body Shop - 3-31-12

The cause of a fire at a Compton auto repair shop on the 1200 block of Alameda Street was not determined. The fire was reported just after 7 a.m. Saturday. The commercial fire was so large that firefighters called to the scene had to summon more help to put out the fire. The shop was closed at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. Officials say it appears the building is a total loss. (Copyright ©2012 KABC-TV/DT. All Rights Reserved.)

  2. There is an arsonist in Compton. He (or she, ya right) has a simple typology; one needs only to look at the randomness and wide variety of the offences. The fires set most commonly include trash out locations, either simple trash cans along busy streets and alley ways, or heaps of junk located dangerously close to residential areas. But more recently fires were set at large warehouse locations (Wilmington Avenue North of 91 FWY). The fire department was notified, Downey, but with no acknowledgement, probably because they do not have to live in the city, so why investigate. The authorities we pay are going to wait until someone is murdered as a result of these fires to do something to this is a plea to Federal Authority Intervention.
